PRICES for LILLY THE WITCH – THE DRAGON AND THE MAGIC BOOK
Nomination for the German Filmprize in the categories for the best Children- and Youthfilm, best Directing and Best Filmscore for Klaus Badelt.
On Germany’s most important Children Filmfestival LILLY THE WITCH – THE DRAGON AND THE MAGIC BOOK was able to bring not less than three awards back home! The film won the main award in the category of Best Cinema-/ and TV Film. Our charming main actress Alina Freund was awarded as Best Actress and Stefan Ruzowitzky received the special prize for Best Directing.
The enchanting young superwitch Alina Freund received the award for Best Child Actress on the International Filmfestival Munich 2009.
On this Italian Filmfestival in the eponymous town LILLY THE WITCH – THE DRAGON AND THE MAGIC BOOK based its success on a European level. With the third place in the category +6 the Italian Coproducer Amedeo Pagani was highly content and reported of an enthusiastic children audience.
LILLY THE WITCH – THE DRAGON AND THE MAGIC BOOK will be the opening film on 16th November 2009 in Finland!
At the 58th Locarno International Film Festival, the film was awarded the Silver Leopard Prize for the best first or second feature film. 3° COLDER was the opening film at the 4th Festival of German Cinema in Moscow and was also celebrated by the audience at the European Film Promotion (EFP) in New York followed by the Göteborg International Film Festival and Tokio Filmex Filmfestival. Furthermore 3° COLDER was pre-nominated for the German Filmprize in the categories Best Feature Film and Best Camera.
THE LORD OF EDESSA was highly successful on international film festivals.Amongst others the film participated on the: International Festival der Filmhochschulen Munich. At the Max Ophüls Festival in Saarbrücken it received a nomination for best film and another prestigious nomination was for the First Steps Award. The Lord of Edessa has won the Starter Filmpreis of the City of Munich and the Kulturpreis Bayern der E.ON Bayern AG as best film.
SHADOWS had its world premiere at Toronto Film Festival, September 2007 in the Category: Special Presentation.At the Park City Film Music Festival 2008 SHADOWS received the Gold Medal for Musical Excellence.Further festivals participations: Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival, Sofia International Film Festival and Sao Paolo.Milcho Manchevski’s film entered the Academy Award race for Macedonia in February 2008.
